In an effort to increase awareness about the differences between Deaf culture in the United States and Ethiopia, Visions at UC Davis is hosting a special event on May 15th from 6:30 - 8:30pm. The event will incorporate a brief lecture-based portion, as well as an interactive portion during which attendees will have the opportunity to learn basic ASL. Information will also be presented about our summer service trip opportunities (including the annual trip to Ethiopia to work with the Deaf community at our Visions Model Deafness Center in Bahir Dar), for anyone interested in going abroad and volunteering in any of our programs!
