Since 2003, Visions has invested more than $1.3 million in educational programming support for youth in Sri Lanka affected by poverty, conflict, disability, and gender discrimination.

In 2024, Visions Global Empowerment Sri Lanka directly reached 3,500+ youth and adults across Jaffna, Mullaithivu, Vavuniya & Batticaloa through ongoing educational support initiatives, including:

• Life Skills education for youth at public schools

• Ongoing training and mentorship for teachers of Life Skills education

• Leadership development training and Training-of-Trainers support for public school teachers & government officials

• Residential leadership development training for school drop-outs in collaboration with IMHO

• Tech-based, early literacy development support (in Tamil & English) through our Blue Brick School platform

• Special programs for children with learning disabilities

• English-language training for teachers & professionals

• Externships support

• Livelihoods development & scholarship support through the Open Path Foundation

• School Smart Board management & support in partnership with the Ratnam Foundation

• Robotics education and special technology-based learning opportunities

• Home-based gardens for the nutritional support of schoolchildren
