Title: School Counselor
Length of Position: Full-time starting December 2020 (*contract must be renewed annually)
Location: Vera Estate, San Ramon, Matagalpa, Nicaragua
Call for Applicants: Visions Nicaragua is looking for a passionate and service-driven mental health professional who is motivated and committed to educating and empowering a generation of exceptional young Nicaraguan women. This person will be responsible for managing the overall mental health of all students and faculty, as well as providing guidance, mentorship and other support vital to the psychological wellbeing of all. The ideal candidate is passionate about and will have experience in child psychology, particularly as it applies to children coming from vulnerable backgrounds.
It is a requirement of this position that the successful candidate live onsite and be on call 24/7 should any mental health issues or emergencies arise. Room and board will be provided in brand new onsite facilities. The start date for this position is December 1, 2020, at which time it is expected the successful candidate will move onsite.

Compensation: Negotiable. All benefits will be assigned as proscribed under Nicaraguan employment law. Onsite accommodation and daily meals are available for successful candidates who are single.
